like other places of Kerala; Alappuzha will give you a soothing ambience.

One of the most popular places to eat in Alappuzha is Kamala Hotel's Arun
restaurant. If you want to get good food at a cheap rate then restaurant and
snacks bar at DTPC jetty will cater your need. Besides this some other major
important eateries are Indian coffee house, Annapoorna, Kream Korner,
Aryaas, Thoppi, Karthika Hotel etc.
How to Reach

From
Alappuzha nearest airport is Kochi International Airport, about 85 km away.
Alappuzha railway station which is about 5 km from the beach is connected to
all major cities pf the country with express trains. State Water Transport
Department operates boat services which connect Alappuzha with other places
like Kottaym (2.5 hrs), Kovalam (1.5hrs), Nedumudy (1.5 hrs) etc.

If you need to stay near the city centre then there are some great places
to stay. If you are willing to travel a little bit then you will have a wide
range of choices for your lodging purpose. For traditional atmosphere you
can try Sona or Keraleeyam. The Alleppey prince is close to the city centre
