Mangalore. Key attractions here at Bekal include centuries old fort, virgin

Tourism Area declared by the Govt. of India, in God's Own Country or Kerala.

A
canon points out to the sea at the ramparts of Bekal Fort, reminding us of
bygone era. It was the time when trading ships came to the land on Bekal
Beach under protective cover of the guns. It guarded them from pirates and
rival merchant ships. Another historic attraction of Bekal Beach in Kerala
includes a nearby mosque built by Tipu Sultan.
