Rameshwaram
is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site situated in the state of Tamil Nadu with a
calm and scenic beach. This is the only place in South India which promises
to satisfy both pilgrims and tourists. Rameshwaram Beach is a mixture of
immense natural wealth and peaceful loneliness. This island is also known as
the 'Benaras of the south' as it is believed that in order to attain Moksha,
visit to Rameshwaram is mandatory. This place also consists with the longest
ever constructed bridge on sea in India. The serene beach and shallow water
here are ideal for swimming and sunbathing where one could swim in the sea
day and night. Variety of sea species like marine life-algae, starfish, sea
cucumber, crabs, sponges and sea cow are found here. Also enjoy by seeing
dolphins jumping and playing several games in the water. Ramanathaswamy
Temple is the main tourist attraction and the most important temple of South
