Camel Festival, Bikaner

The upcoming Bikaner Camel festival at Junagarh Fort, marks the huge gathering of camels from all over the Rajasthan. Unusual symphony of cultural events, along with grand procession of decorated and ornamented camels, makes Bikaner festival a real treat for visitors. The festival is organized to lay emphasis on importance of ship of desert. Three days of extravaganza displays exciting events, where competition is held for best decorated camel, camel's best fur-cutting style and best breed of camel.

Desert Festival, Jaisalmer

India to get two new Asian Tour events

The coming year will be a great buzz for Indian golfers, as they will now indulge in some grand tournaments. India will be hosting two new Asian Tour Tournaments in 2010, at the capital region. The declaration will be done shortly, according to PGTI's Padamjit Singh Sandhu.

Recently, Sandhu, the sales and marketing director of the professional Golf Tour of India, during his interview said, “We have been involved in extremely positive discussions over the past few days with our sponsors as well as the Asian Tour. We will make the two tournaments public in a couple of weeks’ time once the formal agreement with the Asian Tour is signed.”

The first tournament will be held at the DLF Golf and County Club. As per sources the winner will be awarded with 1 million dollars.

The second event will be consisting worth $500,000 as prize money. This tournament will be organized either at Greater Noida’s Jaypee Greens or the Delhi Golf Club.

“We’re definitely looking at a prize purse over and above $1 million and the sponsors hope to bring in big names for the first event,” Sandhu said.

Winter Festival, Mount Abu
