With an umteen number of antique-looking Monasteries around and most exotic
view of shimmering Dhauladhar snow lines, Dharamsala exhibits unique

amidst the dense deodar and pine forest of Himalayas. The beauty of the

Airways - Indian Airlines flies to Gaggal Airport Thrice
a week. The respective airport is the nearest airport and is 11 kms from the
hills.
By Rail - Pathankot is the most convenient railways
station for hitting Dharamsala. Otherwise at a distance of 22 kms lies
Kangra Mandir Railway Station, which is also an rising options with tourists
for ferrying to Dharamsala.
By Road - The rest of the journey can be made on taxis
but the exact point of bus arrival is Mcleod Ganj.

» One : Mcleod Ganj

It is one prominent Buddhist attraction of Dharamsala. With loads of
monasteries clustered around the place, Mcleod Ganj has a unique show-of
Dalai Lama's home. For this very singular appeal, many a times, this place
is known as Little Lhasa. A functioning headquarters of Tibetian Government
in exile, Mcleod Ganj is an active area with much to see besides saffron
surfeits.
» Two : War Memorial
Built amidst the pine groves the War Memorial is a beautiful homage to the
war heroes of Himanchal. This is set-of at the entry point of Dharamsala and
surrounded by many eateries.
» Three : Dharamkot
At the backdrop of Kangra Hills and Dhauladhar Range, Dharamkot is more of
a picnic spot, and an interesting trekking point.
» Four : Kangra Art Museum
This is an interesting museum that showcases the art, painting sculpture,
pottery and miniatures of the local nobility.

If you have set your mood on white, then Triund is your base. Located at
2,872 meters. The snow line starts at just 5 kms at Triund and proffers you
with immense scope of snow sports like trekking. It is also a picnic spot.

Buy simple souvenirs, wooden carvings, silk and woven scarves, Tibetan
curios. There are several other small items that you can purchase ilk
trinkets and handcrafts. Pick up prayer bells on the Jogibara road, besides
there are number of carpets, books and rug available. The Green Shop at
Bhagsu Road sells recycled painted cards and other such stationery. Ancient
Tibetan handicrafts in particular are a favourite with tourists. Women could
even buy a bakku, a traditional Tibetan dress for women. The Tibetan
Bookshop and Information Office has good books on Tibet and its history.
