And Rajasthan has a relief point at last. Top above at an untouched
pinnacle of 1219 mts lies Rajasthan's coolest headland and a summer escape
peak. Dozens follow the trail giving Mount Abu a host just not royalty, but
Rajasthan's burned urbanites. All those who hit the destination fall a prey
to unbelievable beatification of these hill hocks. A large number of summer
palaces, temples, water bodies and relentless attraction of setting sun have
played host to a large number of tourist of the city. On the very first
meeting, the hill station will welcome you with historic galore, dry
deciduous lined winding pathways and much more. There is something cool,
refreshing air here that kindles romance in many hearts, for Mount Abu is

Airways - The nearest airport is Coimbatore, 88 kms
away.
By Rail - Ooty Railway Station is only two kilometer
from the center. The other railway station is Mettupalayam, 46 kms away.
There is also a toy train that connects Ooty with Coonoor.
By Road - The state has a good networks of roads, which
connect Ooty with other parts of the place.

Attractions
» One : Nakki Lake
Mount Abu sit around this picturesque lake. After you have exhausted the
possibilities here, visit numerous temples here. Boating inn Nakki lake is
one of the more charming attractions. It is best to negotiate with some one
to let you on the lake early morning . There are usual boat rows at Nakki
Lake and beyond you can find some kitschy stuff like swan shaped boats that
will help you get a unusual photograph. It is better to opt for a good
paddle boat and a sound oarsmen who after the mandatory rounds and view of
Toad's Rock, can point out to you different birds on the shoreline.
» Two : Toads Rock or Sunset Point
For some more sight seeing or trekking head towards Toad's Rock or Sunset
Point. The latter for its panoramic views. There is also a kid's amusement
park at sunset point. At Guru Shikhar, the highest peak of the Aravalis, one
may combine views of the range with homage to Dattatreya at a small temple
there.
» Three : Pilgrimage Points

The
town is home to number of other temples-but the piece de resistance is the
Dilwara Temples. These marble temples completed between the 11th and 13th
centuries and dedicated to Jain Tirthankaras, have the most ostentatious
carvings you will find in the religious center with exceptions from
Ranakpur. And, yet, they are not without a chaste harmony. The complex is
open from sunrise to sunset, and closed only during the afternoon. The
ancient Adhar Devi Temple, dedicate to the serpent goddess Arbuada, is a
whopping 360 stairs. Near by a natural spring rushes through a sculpted
cow's head at Gaumukh, marking the spots where Sage Vashistha is said to
have performed in the aagnikul yagna.
» Four : Wild Things

The town is home to a number of wild life sanctuaries, 8 km from the town
and spread over 288 sq. km. The park is another summer draw, for during the
hot months of April to June. You get to see and do a lot many things here.
The champa, jasmine, ango, kahjur, trees give a shade of relief to the
animals and cover 250 species bird species, but leopards, chinkara, tigers,
wild boars and hundred of langurs.
» Five : Welnock Downs
The most popular picnic spot, is a vast expanse of undulating landscape
which once used to be the ground for Ooty hunt. It is now a grassy knoll a
developed for great walks. Other picnic spots include Ninth Mile and Sandy
Nallah.
