Day 1 » Arrive Delhi
As you arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 2, our travel
manager receives and takes you to the hotel. You are given a traditional
welcome after your arrival at the hotel. Rest of the day is free to cool off
or other activities. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 » Sightseeing of Delhi
We
start our city sightseeing from Old Delhi. We visit Jama Masjid, one of the
largest and best known mosques in India, before visiting the majestic Red
Fort. Laxmi Narayan Temple is the first stopover in our afternoon session of
sightseeing. India Gate (a famous war memorial) and world's highest brick
minaret - Qutub Minar - are next in our itinerary. Baha'i Temple, known as
Lotus Temple, is an architectural masterpiece. After witnessing the pin-drop
silence within its complex, we head to Crafts Museum, which has a rich
collection of artifacts. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 » Fly to Darjeeling
We accompany you as you transfer to airport to fly for Bagdogra, airport of
Darjeeling. As we arrive at Bagdogra, we drive to Darjeeling en route
visiting an exotic hill resort of Mirik. Arrival in Darjeeling and direct
transfer to the hotel. Relax rest of the day and stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 4 » Morning excursion to Tiger Hill/Ghoom
monastery/Sightseeing of Darjeeling
We leave for early morning excursion trip to Tiger Hill. You will be
enthralled to behold the amazing sunrise and the Himalayan Mountains. We
also visit Ghoom Monastery (Yiga-Choling), famous for the statue of Maitreya
(coming Buddha). We resume our sightseeing in Darjeeling after relishing our
lunch and relaxing for a while. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 » Drive to Pemayangtse & Excursion to Yukusuma
Tashiding monastery
We drive to Pemayangtse in morning and visit Pemayangtse Monastery and
Rabdantse. Excursion to Yukusuma Tashiding Monastery is next in our tour
plan. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 » Drive to Gangtok
We drive to Gangtok in morning. Our tour guide takes you to the hotel.
Relax rest of the day and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 » Sightseeing of Gangtok/Rumtek Monastery
We accompany you during your full day sightseeing of Gangtok. We start our
visit with Tashiview Point and then proceed further to Enchey Monastery.
Cottage Industry, Tashiling Market and Tibetology and Orchid Sanctuary are
also a favourite among the tourists. After visiting Rumtek Monastery (23
km), we return Gangtok and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 » Drive to Kalimpong
We leave for Kalimpong (79 km/3 hours) by car in morning. Arrival and
check-in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing at Kalimpong would include our
visits to Durpin Dara, Tharpa Choling Monastery and Zang Dog Palri Fo-Brang
Monastery. We also visit the nurseries and market of Kalimpong. Stay
overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 » Kalimpong to Bagdogra/ Fly to Delhi
We travel to Bagdogra by road. This is a wonderful drive of two and half
hours which also includes passing through the turbulent Teesta River. We fly
back to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 » Leave Delhi
We accompany you to the airport. Fly to onward destination.
