Day 01 » Cochin
You
are given a traditional welcome as you arrive at Cochin Airport. Our travel
assists you while you transfer and check-in at the hotel. Later in evening
we witness Kathakali Dance, an age-old classical dance form. Dinner and
overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 » Cochin
Get up, wash and relish your breakfast before we leave to half day guided
sightseeing of Cochin. Chinese Fishing Net, St. Fancis Church, Dutch Palace
and Jewish Synagogue are covered before heading back to hotel for lunch.
Savor evening Sunset on a cruise by a private motorboat at Cochin Harbour.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 » Cochin / Marari
After finishing our breakfast we drive to Marari beach Resort (55 km /1.5
hrs). Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight at Marari Beach Resort.
Ayurveda treatments and packages are offerd here. You can try rejuvenating
Ayurvedic massages at this beach resort.
Day 04 » Marari
We take the breakfast and leave for city sightseeing at Aleppey and a visit
to the exotic beach. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 » Marari
We relax, indulge in numerous recreational activities in or around the
resort and relish the luxuries and enchanting ambiance and natural beauty
throughout the day. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 » Marari /Kumarakom
After relishing the breakfast, we drive to Kumarakom (25 km/1hr), with
mind-blowing natural beauty. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Next, we
proceed to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary for bird watching. Dinner and overnight
at the hotel.
Day 07 » Kumarakom
The day starts with city sightseeing of Kottayam after our breakfast. The
trip includes our visit to two old churches called Cheriya Palli and Valiya
Palli. We then drive to a farm house and enjoy the traditional lunch with a
old Christian family near Kumarakom. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 » Kumarakom / Houseboat
We
have our lip-smacking breakfast. A houseboat reports at the hotel jetty at
12.00 hrs. All meals, tea, coffee, snacks are served on board. Overnight on
board the houseboat heading towards Thottapaly.
Day 09 » Thottapaly / Kovalam
We set down at Thottapaly after breakfast on board. We then drive to South
of Kovalam (160 km/ 3 hrs). Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Stay
overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 » Kovalam / Trivandrum/ Kovalam
After a yummy breakfast sightseeing of Trivandrum with local guide follows.
It includes our visit to Shree Padmanabha Temple, Napier Museum and Shree
Chitra Art Gallery. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 » Kovalam/ Cape/ Kovalam
As we finish our breakfast, we drive to Kanniyakumari to visit the southern
most tip of India en route visiting Shree Padmanabhapuram Palace and
Suchindram Temple. After relishing the lunch we take a boat trip to visit
Vivekananda Memorial. We drive back to Kovalam then onwards. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day 12 » Kovalam
We savor the natural beauty of Kovalam and participate in myriad of
activities for our recreation throughout the day. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 » Kovalam / Kanam Estate
After having the breakfast, we we drive to Kanam Estate (155 km/3 hrs).
Arrival and check-in at the state bungalow. Next, we proceed for a
plantation visit. Stay overnight at the bungalow.
Day 14 » Kanam Estate
We enjoy the views over the Blue Mountains of the Western Ghats while
sitting on the small hill top. The surrounding rubber plantation, along with
the shady pool, papaya trees and pepper vines, are really captivating and
create a thoroughly tropical feel. Overnight at the bungalow after this
memorable sensual treat.
Day 15 » Kanam Estate / Thekkady
Get up, wash and breakfast is served before driving to Thekkady (75 km/2.5
hrs), a paradise of nature. Arrival and check-in and overnight stay at the
hotel.
Day 16 » Periyar
Full day trip starts with morning visit at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and
boating at Lake Periyar and a plantation tour there onwards. You also can
enjoy Elephant ride which can be arranged on request. Plantation tour
introduces a large variety of spices, tea and coffee. Stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 17 » Periyar / Munnar
We
move to Munnar ( 120 km/3 hrs) after relishing the breakfast. You pass
through lush cardamom, coffee, tea and pepper plantations during the drive.
Check-in at the hotel on arrival. We then are free to walk around the tea
plantations in afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 18 » Munnar
Soon after savoring the breakfast, our guide takes us to explore the
different regions of Munnar. We visit Eravikulam National Park to see the
endangered Nilgiri Tahr (Endemic goat-antelope). Visits to Tea Museum (to
witness the tea processing) and Shruti, a handicraft center, are next in our
day plan. After having the lunch, we walk through the lush green tea
plantations and back to the hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel Windermere or
another hotel of similar category.
Day 19 » Munnar / Palakkad
We take the breakfast and then drive to nature-rich Palakkad (180 km/ 4
hrs). Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 20 » Palakkad
Today we take the breakfast and start sightseeing of Palakkad. Old granite
fort, placed amidst in the very heart of Palakkad, is one of the best
preserved edifices in Kerala. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 21 » Palakkad / Cochin
As we relish the breakfast, we take a drive to Cochin (150 km/ 3 hrs) en
route visiting Punathoor Elephant Fort. Arrival and check-in at the hotel.
Overnight at the hotel. Punathoor Kotta near Sree Krishna Temple at
Guruvayoor, homes perhaps the largest single group of captive elephants in
the world. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 22 » Cochin / Airport
We transfer to airport for connecting flight as the tour ends here. Fly
back home.
