Also known as Palace on Wheels of Maharashtra, Deccan Odyssey is the new addition to the list of luxury trains operating in India. It is ambitious and costliest project of Maharashtra government that has added to the glorious tales of the mighty Maharathas. The week long trip of Deccan Odyssey takes you to the heritage sites of Ajanta and Ellora, the handicraft village of Shilpa Gram, the Sula Winery at Nasik, the bustling cities of Mumbai and Pune, and more.

If Rajasthan is proud of Palce on wheels, then Maharashtra has Deccan Odyssey to boast of. Deccan Odyssey is not a mere train journey. It is a magical experience of beating the limitations of time, experiencing timelessness and getting engrossed in sheer luxury. The destinations covered include Mumbai, Ganpatipule, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Goa, Pune, Aurangabad, Ajanta and Ellora.

DAY 01 - (Wednesday) : Mumbai
Departure in the evening from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai

DAY 02 - (Thursday) : Jaigadh, Ganpatipule, Ratnagiri and Bhatye Beach.
Attractions: Fort Jaigad, Ganpatipule beach resort, Ratnagiri town, Ratnadurg Fort, Lokmanya Tilak Smarak

DAY 03 - (Friday) : Sindhudurg. Tarkarli. Sawantwadi.
Attractions: Sindhudurg Sea Fort, Tarkarli beach resort, Sawantwadi town, Shilpagram.

DAY 04 - (Saturday) : Goa
Morning arrival at Karmali - Goa. The most frequented tourist spots in India.
Attractions: Basilica De Born Jesus, Se Cathedral, Se Cathedral,Church of St. Francis of Assissi, Fort Aguada Beach Resort.

DAY 05 - (Sunday) : Pune
Morning - Arrival at Pune, the Erstwhile Capital of Maharashtra.
Attractions: Mahatma Phule Mandai, the old central market, Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, Sir David Sasoon Synagogues, The Osho International Commune, Aga Khan Palace.

DAY 6 - (Monday) : Aurangabad
Attractions: Historical fort Daulatabad, Ellora caves, Shivaji Museum, Bibi-ka-Maqbara.

DAY 7 - (Tuesday) : Ajanta & Nasik
Attractions:Buddhist caves of Ajanta, Panchawati Ghat and Sula Winery Yard.

DAY 8 - (Wednesday) : Mumbai
Morning - Arrival at CST - Mumbai. Journey Ends.
