Kanha National Park is located in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh. Spread in area of 1,940 sq km, the park is under the project Tiger reserve to protect the ferocious beast. Park is popular for its high density of Tiger population. The amazing topography is in the horseshoe shaped valley and the evergreen grasslands covers the extensive plateau. Three meandering rivers- Banjar, Nila and Sulkum along with several perennial springs flows across the dense forests of the park. The forest is covered with forests of Sal, Sindhur and Bamboo.
