Keoladeo Ghana Park, also known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is situated in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. 'Keoladeo' name has been derived from an ancient Hindu Temple, situated in close proximity to the park. The sanctuary is spread in an area of 29 sq kms, covered with Kadam forest and several species of grass and reeds. It is must-visit for the bird watching opportunities it offers. Keoladeo Ghana Park is haven to more than 350 avifauna species and some migratory birds. The migratory birds from central Asia and Siberia come to the sanctuary to spend their cozy winters.

How to reach Keoladeo Ghana Park
Wildlife lovers can access the national park by means of air, rail and road. The nearest airport to the Keoladeo Ghana Park is Delhi airport. Bharatpur railway station is closest railhead to park, located at a distance of 6 km from the sanctuary. An excellent road network connects the park to some nearby important cities like Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Visitors can board the inter-state buses that ply from Agra and Delhi. Taxis can also be hired to reach the park.
